About this policy
This policy covers the Crayon Trace app, crayon-trace.nl and support email. The app, website and email process information differently. Edo Visser is the responsible operator and data controller. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@crayon-trace.nl.
The app and children's privacy
Crayon Trace requires no account and does not collect or transmit personal information to our servers. It contains no advertising software, analytics software or tracking technologies. The app is designed for children and does not ask for their name, birthdate, location, photos or other personal information.
Settings, stars, progress and drawings are stored locally on your device. We cannot access them remotely. Removing the app may remove its local data; any device backups are managed by Apple and your backup settings. Visiting the website
The webserver processes technical information such as your IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information and any referring page. Security logs may record request information when the security filter considers a request relevant. These records are separate from data stored locally by the app.
We use these logs to secure the website, keep it available and investigate faults. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website. The public website uses no analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. There is no contact form; contact is by email.
Support email
When you contact info@crayon-trace.nl, we process your email address, any name you provide and your message, including attachments, to answer and handle your request. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing support and responding to correspondence. We process privacy requests to meet our legal obligations. Please avoid including personal information about your child unless it is necessary for your question.
Email is handled through our Freedom/Soverin mail service. Its providers process messages to deliver and operate that service.
Retention and security
The webserver rotates log files daily and retains up to fourteen previous files. With low traffic, files can remain longer than fourteen days: this is a file-rotation rule, not a fixed fourteen-calendar-day retention period. Security logs follow the same rule.
We retain correspondence while handling your request and for up to twelve months afterward, unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention. The operator periodically reviews and deletes old correspondence.
The website uses HTTPS. Access to administration and logs is restricted to the operator and authorized technical support. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Your privacy rights
Contact info@crayon-trace.nl to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal information we process, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also request data portability where applicable.
We respond without undue delay, normally within one month. Where the law permits an extension, we will explain it within that month. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity. We cannot remotely access or delete app data stored on your device. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/.

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the latest revision date above.
